The Russian Orthodox Church in Peterborough

A group of Orthodox Christians has been meeting for study and prayer in Peterborough since September, 2011.

Our first celebration of the Divine Liturgy was on Sunday 29 April, 2012 (the Sunday of the Holy Myrrhbearers.)

In February 2012, this group was recognised as a Diocesan Community by Archbishop Elisey, the Ruling Hierarch of the Sourozh Diocese of Russian Orthodox Church, Moscow Patriarchate. This means that the community may begin to establish its Liturgical life.

The community meets for the Divine Liturgy approximately every two months whenever possible at All Saint's Church, All Saint's Road, Peterborough PE1 2UJ.

The priest of the Community is Fr Raphael Armour, who also Rector of the Orthodox Parish of St Ephraim the Syrian, Cambridge, and Dean of the East of England of the Sourozh Diocese.
